Sally™ was launched at the 2014 Chelsea Flower Show and named after Lady Southgate, the wife of Sir Colin Southgate, a former Chairman of EMI, the famous record-label company. Normally pink-flowered clematis fade in strong sunlight but Sally holds its colour and is in fact a deeper colour when grown in strong sunshine.
